Blanket Glacier Ski Trip

March 10-18, 2001

Photo Gallery - Skiing

This area has many runs which are referred to by name as at a ski resort, but the photos are not labelled that way since I don't remember the names. I'm just not used to this in the backcountry I guess.
Left - Caribou ridge with Blanket Peak behind it in the clouds. Right - Skiing along on Caribou Ridge.
Dick disappearing down a run.
Paul disappearing down the same run.
This small slope across from the Chalet is used by Al as an "indicator slope" since it often slides early when there is any hazard. One of our group members who insisted on traveling around alone and didn't impress anyone with their avalanche aptitude made these tracks right across it.
Left - Paul and I leaving the Chalet on the main track. Right - Jerry and I on Caribou ridge overlooking Blanket Peak. (Both of these are Dick Tucker photos.)
Paul (left) and myself (right), photos by Dick again.
