From Pfaffenjoch the route angles up and right across the top of the Sultzenauferner, which is very heavily crevassed down in its lower sections. One of the highest crevasse fields is visible here below me, with a view straight down the Stubaital valley. The big distinct peak on the right of the Stubai valley is the Habicht (which is German for Hawk).
