I planned to travel around the mountain, counter-clockwise, in a day. Largely to have a look at the west face. However, there was a cloud layer enshrouding the mountain from treeline up so I gave up at the NW ridge due to very poor visibility. I did get to look over the debris from the large climax avalanche a week or two before on the NE side.
