These were the conditions up high on Sunday afternoon when I set out, at the top of the highest cable car ride (about 3150 m or so). The woman selling cable car tickets acted like I was crazy, but the Hildesheimer Hut isn't very far, or difficult to find. It was supposed to clear on Monday.
